Who are we?

The Independent Consultancy/Careers Pathways SIG was established in September 2024. The SIG aims to showcase and share a range of potential career options and pathways that are available in the Learning Technology sector. The SIG will be a space for sharing and discovery of traditional career pathways alongside the exploration and development of a community for those who work independently within the sector.

Independent Career Pathways

- Share experiences working as independent consultants / freelancers / contractors
- Share and discuss established working methods, experiences, reflections
- Create a better understanding of the role of independent consultants in the Digital Education sector
- Raise awareness and trust in this sector of types of consultants available
- Share potential projects and roles within the network

In common with ALT Members Groups and SIGs this group will :

• Support activities in line with ALT’s strategic aims
• Share ALT’s values of being participative, open, collaborative, innovative, inclusive and transparent
