Digitally-Enriched Apprenticeships focuses specifically on incorporating digital resources into the delivery of apprenticeship programmes from start to finish. Specific topics include:

  • Preparation: staff and organisational readiness

  • Planning the apprentice journey

  • Planning the apprentice programme to support delivery

  • Digital for developing learner support

  • Digital for supporting evidence collection

  • End-point assessment (EPA)

Apprenticeships are a central part of the government’s strategy to address the growing skills gap and ensure that young people develop the skills employers want. The current reforms give employers and apprenticeship providers the opportunity to design and deliver high-quality training calibrated more closely to the skills, knowledge, and behaviours which the future workforce needs. With the growth of apprenticeships as a proportion of the vocational market, apprenticeship providers, teachers, and trainers need to be ready to respond to employer demand, and to enrich their offering to deliver high-quality outcomes on employer-designed standards.

Blended Learning Essentials: Digitally-Enriched Apprenticeships shows individuals working with apprentices, as a trainer in a college, within an employment organisation, or in an independent provider, how using digital technology can enrich their apprentices’ experience and open up opportunities for their organisation. Participants learn how to weave in digital resources across the whole apprentice journey, from preparation to end-point assessment, helping them develop their own designs for a digitally-enriched apprenticeship programme.

If you work with apprentices as a trainer in a college, within an employment organisation or in an independent provider, then this course is for you! For more information please sign up using the link above or contact ble@alt.ac.uk .
