Please join us in welcoming Dr Emily Nordmann, Laura Milne, and Joe Wilson as this year’s ALTC Conference Co-Chairs. Each brings a wealth of experience and insight into the world of learning technology, and we’re excited to work with them to shape a vibrant and engaging programme for ALTC25 in Glasgow on 23-24 October.
Dr Emily Nordmann is Associate Dean of Learning and Teaching at the University of Glasgow and a leading advocate for evidence-based, inclusive digital education. Her research and teaching expertise span lecture capture, blended learning, and the use of educational technology to support student engagement and success, particularly in large cohort and transition contexts.
Laura Milne is Head of Digital Education at the University of Chester. She has been active in digital education in the UK, USA and South Africa. She has presented and organised at several sector events, and has been involved in work with Heads of E-Learning Forum and other sector groups. She manages the University of Chester Digital Education team within the Centre for Academic Innovation and Development, supporting pedagogic and technological innovation in learning, teaching and assessment.
Joe Wilson is a former teacher, Community Education worker, FE lecturer, Project Manager, Senior Manager, Director, CEO of College Development Network and latterly Head of Digital Skills at City of Glasgow College. A Glaswegian with an incurable social justice complex. A keen supporter of ALT over lots of years, having served as co-chair and supported conference committees in the past, he is simply delighted to welcome ALT-C to his home town of Glasgow.
More details about the conference, including key dates and the call for proposals, will follow soon. In the meantime, save the date and get ready to join us in Glasgow for what promises to be a dynamic and thought-provoking event.
