
The Research in Learning Technology (RLT) journal is delighted to welcome its newly appointed Editor-in-Chief, Professor Peter Bryant, and Deputy Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Erika Corradini. These appointments mark an exciting new chapter for the journal as it continues to advance research and scholarship in digital learning.
Peter Bryant, Editor-in-Chief
Professor Peter Bryant is an award-winning academic with international expertise in designing and delivering successful strategic educational change in both business and social sciences institutions. He has thirty years of teaching and research experience in both the UK and Australia, in the areas of higher education strategy, educational innovation, online learning, and creative industries management. He is a Professor of Business Education, the Director of the Disruptive Innovations in Business Education research group at the University of Sydney, and a Visiting Professor at King's College London Business School. He was a Trustee of the Association for Learning Technology for seven years, completing his term in 2024.
Peter is a world-leading researcher in disruptive and transformative higher education, with research interests including digital identity and social media, the influences and impacts of digital pedagogies, the relationship between learning spaces, design and pedagogy, and institutional resistance to technology within higher education—more specifically, business education spaces. Peter is also leading research on engaging with and delivering strategic pedagogical change in Business Schools.
Erika Corradini, Deputy Editor-in-Chief
Erika Corradini MA PhD PFHEA is a strategic academic leader and Principal Teaching Fellow in Academic Practice at the Centre for Higher Education Practice (CHEP), University of Southampton. A Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (PFHEA), she leads institutional initiatives in educator development, the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), and education evaluation, with a particular focus on evidence-based practice, strategic policy, and critical inquiry in higher education.
Erika’s expertise spans digital pedagogy, curriculum innovation, academic identities, assessment design, and education evaluation. She has published in these areas and supported colleagues in developing their scholarship through mentoring, supervision, and strategic programme leadership. She also plays a key institutional role in advancing transnational education (TNE), providing coordinated professional development and academic networking across global campuses.
With over a decade of editorial experience, Erika has served as Book Review Editor for Innovative Practice in Higher Education and contributed to peer review and editorial work across several journals in the field. She is committed to fostering rigorous, inclusive, and impactful research in digital learning.
