#OER20 Registration is now open

Open is Welcoming -- CC0 Alan Levine

Registration is now open for the 2020 Open Education Research Conference, which will take place at Resource for London, London between 1-2 April 2020. You can register now on our OER20 website, to take advantage of early bird prices, available until 31 January.

For OER20, our theme will be Care In Openness, covering issues of privilege, equity, precarity, power relations and public interest, OER20 will put the spotlight on both the value and limitations of care in open education. Mia ZamoraDaniel Villar-Onrubia, and Jonathan Shaw will be your conference co-chairs.

We have announced sava saheli singh as the first featured speaker and we will have further announcements for the remainder of our glittering line up for OER20.  sava is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Ottawa whose research interests include educational surveillance; digital labour and surveillance capitalism; and critically examining the effects of technology and techno-utopianism on society.

We hold the fees for this event as low as possible to make OER20 as inclusive and accessible as possible and have held member prices at 2019 rates this year. However if cost is a genuine barrier we have a small amount of funding that we can use to help subsidise conference fees which can be applied for via the OER20 Scholarships page (closing date for applications 22 January 2020). Anyone able to support the scholarship fund is able to add a donation as part of their conference registration.

You can read more about the conference on our website, including accommodation recommendationstravel and transport options, and more helpful advice on attending the conference. We are also publishing our OER20 Guest Post series on the website.

Please help us spread the word and share this news on social media, using the hashtag #OER20.
