We are delighted to announce that the ALT Awards 2024 are now open for entries until Tuesday 11 June 2024.
Now in their 17th year, the ALT Awards are back once again to celebrate and recognise excellence & achievement in Learning Technology. This year sees the return of five main awards categories, as well as the long awaited return of the Community Choice Award. We are also delighted to announce the launch of a brand new award for 2024 in partnership with UFi Trust, which aims to celebrate vocational education amongst the ALT Community.
The categories are:
- Award for Individuals
- Award for Teams/Institutions
- Award for Leadership in Digital Education
- Award for Case Studies in Ethical EdTech
- Award for Digital Transformation (in partnership with Jisc)
- Award for Use of Technology in Vocational Education (in oartnership with Ufi VocTech Trust)
- ALT Community Choice Award
We are pleased to be bringing back the ALT Community Choice Award which hasn’t been awarded since pre-pandemic ceremonies. This special award allows our ALT Community to vote for their winner, and all entry submissions can opt to be included for this award. Voting for our community will open for this award over the summer.
We are now open for entries through until Tuesday 11 June 2024, and we welcome submissions from individuals and teams based anywhere in the world. The awards are free to enter.
We welcome submissions from all sectors including, but not limited to, Higher Education, Further Education, Schools & Colleges, & Commercial.
Our 2024 judging panel led by Chair of ALT, Dave White, will shortlist the winners solely on the entry form submissions, and there will be no interviews taking place this year, as trialled in 2023.

“I’m delighted to announce the launch of the ALT awards for 2024. It’s a great opportunity to celebrate compelling and innovative work in Digital Education and Learning Technology. We have categories for teams, individuals, leadership, ethical edtech and a community award. ALT welcomes entries from across FE, HE and related organisations and are always looking for impactful work from a diversity of contexts. So, don’t be shy, if you have been involved in something Digital and Education related that deserves national recognition then let us know”.
