Join the Programme Committee

If you are a member of ALT, or affiliated with an institutional member or sister body of ALT, we would like to encourage you to apply to become a member of the Programme Committee for this conference. The role of Programme Committee member usually involves reviewing of papers and chairing up to 2 sessions at the conference.

N.B. Members of the Programme Committee for ALT-C 2012 should not fill in the form. A separate communication will be sent to you explaining the continuation or otherwise of your involvement.

Online conference coordinators

We are looking to recruit up to 6 online conference coordinators who will help deliver the conference online and support social media channels in the run up, but primarily during the conference. As we are looking to make changes to the way in which we deliver the conference online, it is likely that these roles include, but are not limited to: moderating live conference sessions online and fielding questions from virtual participants; moderating the twitter channel, contributing to the conference presence across other social media platforms as necessary, liaising with ALT staff to to define, test and implement appropriate methods for online delivery and to attend online meetings to discuss this in advance of the conference.

The online conference coordinators will be led by a coordinator who joins the Programme Committee Executive who leads on the conference programme overall.

ALT-C Live

We are also looking to recruit helpers to contribute to the running of the ALT-C Live Internet TV channel which broadcasts live from the conference. Helpers can contribute in two ways:

1. At the conference
This is a great opportunity for learning technologists with an interest in audio/video production to gain experience of live broadcast. Full training will be provided in the use of Newtek Studio TriCaster and various cameras and microphones for broadcast but we would ask that only those who are confident and have some experience of filming apply.

2. Before and during the conference
We are looking for 1-2 individuals who can be involved in the planning and preparation of ALT-C Live in advance of the conference.

If you wish to be considered for these roles, please complete the Google form at http://goo.gl/Nfv3C

Deadline for expressions of interest: 30 November 2012
