Crisis support from ALT for Members

ALT has been working hard to support all of our Members during this crisis. Our members are under exceptional pressure as institutions implement social distancing measures within learning and teaching. Over the past month, we have set up a number of additional support features for our Members.

Here is an easy guide for Members:

  • Weekly Drop-ins: help members share expertise, ask questions and come together to support each other. No registration is needed, see our home page for the details and link.

  • Resources: find resources for online pivot, courses and training, online conferences and more. You can view all of the resources here, and this is updated on a daily basis. To contribute, tag #altc on Twitter or email your link to enquiries@alt.ac.uk

  • Expert webinars: on copyright, Microsoft Teams, online conferences and more. Free to attend for Members, see our Events page

  • Member’s Directory: connecting those who have expertise with those who need additional input. The directory is growing everyday, and you can add yourself to the directory here and access the full list here

You can find job listings, courses and more updates via our weekly news digest, published every Monday, and sent straight to your inbox. To have something included in the weekly digest, use our submission form

  • Member’s Mailing List: Our Members mailing list is also very active during this time, and always. Here, our Members ask for and share advice, knowledge, and expertise. Recent topics of conversation have included, Online exams plans, moving events online, and moving away from zoom.

  • Publications: Our Research in Learning Technology Journal is continuing to run as normal during this crisis, and our Editorial Team will continue to work hard to publish new articles for you via the journal website. Our #altc blog team also continues to publish regular blog posts which you can read here.

Take care during this turbulent time and stay connected with the ALT community in a numbers of ways. Follow #altc on Twitter for updates from our Members.
