ALT’s Certified Membership accreditation scheme is changing and CMALT submissions will look a bit different in 2025. From 7 January, we are piloting a change to the submission process.
Currently, we have three submission windows per year, and it is not possible to submit outside of these times. During this year-long pilot, candidates will be able to submit their CMALT portfolio at any time in 2025. This will also apply to resubmissions. We will monitor the pilot throughout and seek feedback from both candidates and assessors on its impact.
The pilot is the result of feedback from both candidates and assessors. We hope this change will help candidates to gain CMALT accreditation and support the vital work of our volunteer assessors.
From 7 January 2025, you can submit your CMALT portfolio, at any time, here: https://www.alt.ac.uk/cmalt/submitting-portfolio
What is CMALT?
The CMALT Accreditation Framework provides pathways to peer-assessed accreditation for Learning Technology professionals in the UK and internationally.
We define Learning Technology as the broad range of communication, information and related technologies that can be used to support learning, teaching and assessment. The CMALT Accreditation Framework is for professionals who are actively involved in understanding, managing, researching, supporting or enabling learning with the use of Learning Technology. Achieving Certified Membership is recognition from your peers that you are a current practitioner.
