Monday: Pre-conference reception

We marked the opening of the exhibition and start of the conference with a pre-conference reception in the Exhibition Hall from 19:30.

Tuesday: Evening meal & drinks in the roof terrace bar

Our annual reception for new members took place from 18:20, followed by the evening meal served in the Exhibition Hall at 19:00. We then moved to the Terrace Bar for drinks.

Wednesday: Gala buffet dinner

This year the gala dinner buffet was served on campus at 19:30 and showcased regional student talent as in previous years. The winners of the Learning Technologist of the Year, Best Paper and Poster Awards, the ALT-Epigeum Award and the Jorum Learning and Teaching Competition were also announced at the end of the dinner. Thursday: Close of conference lunch

We closed the conference programme with a preview of what is in store for ALT-C 2012. 'Lunch in a bag' was provided before departure at 13:00. 

Attending ALT-C for the first time?

If you are attending ALT's annual conference for the first time, here are a few tips on getting the most out of your days:

• If you are arriving on Monday, attend a pre-conference workshop and the pre-conference reception. That is the best way to meet other delegates and start networking;
• Attend the Welcome to ALT-C/Explore ALT session on Tuesday morning and come and meet some ALT Members at the ALT stand;
• Throughout the conference, the staff at the Helpdesk are there to assist you and can provide information and maps of the campus and local area;
• Use Crowdvine to start networking with other delegates and express an interest in sessions.
