Call for Conference Committee for #altc22

ALT Annual Conference

Our call for Committee Members for the 2022 ALT Annual Conference is now open, and we are looking for volunteers to help shape the Conference.

For the return of the Annual Conference to Manchester, we will bring together different critical perspectives from across our community that will examine the challenges ahead and question the shape of things to come. We are putting our values into practice and Members at the heart of the conference, so in this spirit the event will be chaired collaboratively by the Trustees of ALT.

Established in 1993 the ALT Annual Conference is the UK’s main conference for learning technology, and one of the largest conferences of its kind. It is held over three days every September, providing a valuable and practical forum for practitioners, researchers, managers and policy-makers from education and industry to solve problems, explore, reflect, influence and learn.

Join the Conference Committee

We are looking for Members who are keen to get involved in shaping the conference, to help promote the event, review proposals for the programme and share their experiences. Whether your interest is in research, practice or policy, we welcome your contribution.

We are keeping the invitation to join this conference committee open until 4 May 2022. Sign up via our online form to get involved.

Committee Activities

The ALT Annual Conference Committee plays a vital role and our volunteers contribute their time and expertise including undertaking peer review, chairing sessions and organising local and social activities during the conference. The Committee meets every month and is chaired by the Conference Co-Chairs.

  • Peer Review
A key focus of the Conference Committee is to conduct the peer review of all proposals submitted to the conference once the Call for Proposals has been closed. Guidance for Reviewers will be available soon and we also provide support at committee meetings.

Help us spread the word about the conference and upcoming deadlines, keynote speakers and the social programme. Use #altc22 on social media.
