Call for Conference Committee for OER25

Our call for Committee Members for the 2025 Open Education Conference is open. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the programme and contribute to the success of the event. Being on the conference committee is a significant professional development opportunity, as well as evidence of ongoing development, which can contribute to CMALT, AdvanceHE Fellowship applications, and other certifications.

OER26 Keynote Sessions Exploring “Openness Reimagined” confirmed 

ALT is delighted to announce the two keynote sessions for the 2026 OER conference, taking place 22–23 June at The Open University in Milton Keynes. In keeping with this year’s theme, “Openness Reimagined: Continuity, Change and Shared Vision,” both keynotes will challenge, expand, and re‑envision what openness means for education, communities, and the wider public good.

Final Reminder: OER26 Call for Proposals Closes 13 April

The Association for Learning Technology (ALT) is issuing a reminder that the Call for Proposals for OER26 closes on Monday, 13 April at midnight. The conference, taking place at The Open University, UK, from 22–23 June 2026 in Milton Keynes will explore the theme “Openness Reimagined: Continuity, Change and Shared Vision.” 

Announcing the OER26 Conference Co‑Chairs: Dr Robert Farrow and Dr Beck Pitt

We are delighted to announce that Dr Robert Farrow and Dr Beck Pitt will serve as co‑chairs for OER26. Both are long‑standing contributors to the global open education community and bring extensive experience, leadership, and insight to this year’s conference. 

The Open Education Conference for 2026 will take place at The Open University in Milton Keynes on 22-23 June 2026.
