Our call for Committee Members for the 2025 Open Education Conference is open. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the programme and contribute to the success of the event. Being on the conference committee is a significant professional development opportunity, as well as evidence of ongoing development, which can contribute to CMALT, AdvanceHE Fellowship applications, and other certifications.
We are pleased to share the programme for ALTC25 Revisited, taking place on 25 February 2026. The event brings together a full day of presentations, discussions, and parallel sessions that explore digital practice, accessibility, user experience, virtual learning environments, video assessment, XR, open education, and critical perspectives on AI.

ALT is inviting Members to join our community of CMALT assessors. Assessors play a vital role in supporting professional recognition across the sector and ensuring the continued quality of the CMALT accreditation framework.
As we look ahead to the new year, ALT is working hard behind the scenes on our new strategy, which will be announced early in 2026. Alongside this, we are preparing to release our annual Call to Get Involved in January, offering Members valuable opportunities to shape the future of the Association.

This interactive session is designed for professionals working with learning technology who want to strengthen their organisation’s approach to digital accessibility. The workshop will explore two critical lenses from the Digital Accessibility Maturity Model, developed by AbilityNet and McNaught Consultancy.
ALT awards Honorary Life Membership to individuals who have made an outstanding and sustained contribution to the advancement of ALT’s aims for the development of learning technology in a regional, national or international context.
Dr Maren Deepwell was awarded Honorary Life Member at ALT’s Annual General Meeting on 19 November 2025.
Welcoming the award, Keith Smyth, ALT Chair, reflected:
