Susi Miller
I provide consultancy and training services on eLearning accessibility. I specialise in helping people make eLearning content created using authoring tools accessible to the requirements of the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations.
Chris Millson
The Library runs a number of teaching, learning and specialist support services, including the multi--award-winning My Learning Essentials. Through these services we offer live and asynchronous support, online and on campus.
Our online resources form a key part of these services, and we make these open access (and open source) wherever possible (e.g. https://www.library.manchester.ac.uk/training/my-learning-essentials/onl...). We use tools such as Storyline 3, Rise and Codyframe, as well as standalone HTML5, embeddable tools in Glitch, content on publishing platforms including Medium, and learning platforms such as OpenLearn Create. We also produce content for Blackboard.
We run two credit-bearing taught units, each hosted on Medium (https://medium.com/open-knowledge-in-he and https://medium.com/digital-society/)

Mrisho Abeid Omary
I am an experienced Learning Technologist with some exposure and practice of Academic Development. I have excellent experience in the use of different technologies used for learning, user management, content management, communication, and more. I have over 5 years working in Higher Education Institutions as a Learning Technologist and similar roles, and other roles such as student ambassador and mentor.
I am very passionate about several topics with the following being of keen interest:
1. Information and documents accessibility research and implementation.
- I have recently developed and delivered training on the important of creating accessible digital content using Office 365 and the Web. I have also evidence this as a key area for my CMALT accreditation available here: https://menetcorp.com/cmalt/accessibility.
2. Website design and development using HTML5, CSS3, some JavaScript, and PHP.
- A recent project I have completed following a referral of my former manager is the design and development of the Thomas Layton Book Collection web-application for the London Borough of Hounslow, Council. It is available here: https://tlbc.thomaslayton.org.uk/.
3. User Training and management with a keen focus in training for success in learning, teaching, and assessment.
4. Customer service support in any roles. However, I am mostly interested and very experienced in support of investigating and resolving learning and other technology-related inquiries.
Mike Porter
Providing AV system design (Extron based with in house logic), maintenance and user support for our Health Academy - A "halfway house" facility for medical/nursing students from our feeder universities/colleges can attend lectures, skill workshops by visiting lecturers and our own staff and simulation training while on placement with us and current staff can be upskilled to Royal College accreditation.
We also provide expertise in Educational Technologies such as online teaching tools (Kahoot!, Socrative, Slido), hardware solutions (3D printing, testing with XR devices, simulation recording and in house developed tools) and especially during the COVID-19 crisis - online collaboration (Microsoft Teams), video conference codecs (Polycom, Lifesize) and room tools (Extron Teamwork) as well as the basic IT support surrounding this in collaboration with our IT Department.
Patricia Quinn
Pinnacle e-Learning Services offers a broad range of consultancy services including project management, advice on content development approaches, learner engagement, change management, leadership and management, proofreading and editing, quality testing and checking, e-learning strategy development, learning platform engagement and use of online community forums etc. I am a Fellow of the HEA and of the ILM.

I am an Academic Developer in the University of Wolverhampton’s, Learning Enhancement and Academic Development (LEAD) team (formerly CoLT). I specialise in academic development, enhancing learning and teaching through the adoption of appropriate technology and the design of innovative and inclusive learning spaces. I am a Senior Fellow of Advance HE, a Certified member of ALT, a qualified Coach and Mentor and member of the ILM.

I run a training and research consultancy with a specialism in copyright and online learning, digital and information literacy and educational technologies.
Nick Skelton
An independent digital consultant with over 20 years experience in HE. Nick's specialism is translating educational practices and working practices from in-person to online. He designs cultures and behaviours to help universities get the most from their technology.
Nick has led a Digital Workplace programme moving a large university to digital-first, paper-light ways of working and studying. He has produced reports on how universities can move learning online post Covid-19, both reactively and strategically.
Nick has a passion for building online social communities and has run large-scale quizzes and afterparties for organisations and events. He also makes cider and tweets about his growing orchard.

David Thomas
Having worked as a Learning Technologist in both Further Education and Higher Education, I have developed a passion for education technology - I'm particularly interested in the use of immersive technologies. At Brunel Medical School, I am responsible for supporting the incorporation and delivery of digital technologies. I work closely with academic and professional colleagues to devise, advise and deliver learning content, both online (through the LMS, Brightspace) or face-to-face, through Team-Based Learning identifying and translating teaching challenges into workable solutions as required.
I love developing immersive and engaging learning experiences. As a Creative, I am driven to innovate and push the boundaries, constantly striving to improve the quality of my work.
Simon Thomson
Offering consultation in the development of hybrid education and mixed-modal learning, including curriculum design and implementation. From the development of strategy, policy and design through to the implementation of process, practice and technology I have first hand experience of working with large educational organisations to develop a high level vision and making it come to fruition as rich learning and teaching experiences.
Scott Turner
Teaching modules in Artificial Intelligence, problems-solving and computer system for over 18 years. Developed a set of outreach activities that bring engineering, computing and waste management together around robot and robot-like activities. Leads the research group Science and Technology Research in Pedagogy (STRiPE), University of Northampton as well the postgraduate provision in the Department of Computing and Immersive Technologies.
Research interests include mobile robotics; problem-solving; computer-related pedagogy; Genetic Algorithms and Neural Network Applications; Signal Progressing.
Ross Ward
Specialising in the design, development and maintenance of education technology services and solutions. Our focus is taking a deep understanding of a project brief and requirements, as well as the client and user needs. With a depth of experience across spectrum of common technologies used in Higher Education we are able to get up-to-speed quickly on projects and deliver fast turnaround times always working with the client to work iteratively through their requirements and end-goals.
My role in projects is very much a hands-on service for high-quality and timely turnarounds on projects. This may include the design and setup of an entire LMS, the user experience design and improvements to new or existing courses, design and development of websites or learning resources, or providing support to projects which are already underway.
Scott Wilson
Cetis provides consultancy services across the education sectors in a number of specialist areas. My particular domain is data and integration, and I support organisations as a data architect, data engineer and data visualisation specialist. I've worked with a number of universities in delivering data warehouses, dashboards and integration solutions in business intelligence, strategic planning, course analytics and learning analytics.
Joe Wilson
Currently Head of Digital Learning at City of Glasgow College so all things educational technology just rolled out Canvas by Instructure across 2000 staff 20K learner college.
A UK and international education consultant and the former Chief Executive of the College Development Network. His work mainly focuses on College and work-based education and its structures and practices. He is currently Co-Chair of ALT (Association of Learning Technology) in Scotland, an SCQF Evaluator, a consultant for the British Council and a domain expert for UNESCO. He has held a number of public appointments in Scotland over the last 20 years mainly in areas around adult and community education and learning technology including board membership of Anniesland, Clyde and Kelvin Colleges.
Previously a school teacher, an adult education tutor, a college lecturer and a senior manager in several Scottish Colleges before working for a range of national agencies and non-departmental public bodies including SQA and SFC.
He has an ongoing interest in On-Line Assessment and Open Education and is one of the co-developers of the Open Scotland Declaration. As Head of New Ventures at the Scottish Qualifications Authority he secured a public statement of recognition in Scotland for Open Badges as a valid means to recognise achievement in formal and informal learning. Through his practice and consultancy he remains an active evangelist for open educational practice, digital delivery and the on-line assessment of knowledge and skills. Currently exploring scalable AR and VR solutions and institutional policies around AI.
Amy Woodgate
Woodgate Consulting Ltd is an e-learning and digital consultancy, creating bespoke courses and learning experiences. We are a women-led, small team of media and education specialists. Our portfolio focusses on social justice, sustainable development and innovation projects.
We work with you to build courses from scratch - concept to launch. We refresh and revamp existing content or help support transition from face to face materials to hybrid delivery. We also have specialists who can advise on digital strategy and provide training for your in house team.
Our ideal clients are anyone who knows their stuff and wants to share it or educate a wider group of people. We particularly like working with people who want to make the world a better place.
