Blended Learning Essentials 2017:

Incorporating digital learning into teaching is becoming ever more important in all areas of education. We are excited to announce that the well-received Blended Learning Essentials course for the  Vocational Education and Training sector, commissioned by the Ufi Charitable Trust, will be offered again this year. The course is designed to help those working in further education, skills training, vocational education, workplace learning, lifelong learning or adult education to understand the benefits of blended learning and how to make more effective use of technology to support learners.

What’s more, in addition to ‘Getting Started’ and ‘Embedding Practice’, two new courses have been added: ‘Developing Digital Skills’ and ‘Supporting Apprenticeships’. And, even better, the whole course is free!

The course will be delivered on Futurelearn, the UK’s leading platform for delivering open courses. The aim is to promote effective practice and pedagogy in blended learning.

The course will incorporate an accreditation route to CMALT, ALT's peer-based accreditation scheme. Established in 2004, CMALT is one of the longest established accreditations specifically for practitioners seeking recognition for their skills and experience in the area of learning technology.

The course starts on 20 February 2017.
