<p>Advanced digital technologies have been widely adopted in higher education. We outline examples on how Ulster have adapted to the student landscape, post 2020. This talk covers response analysis of feedback, student experience of using ChatGTP in their coursework and experiences of incorporating research into teaching within a People/Place/Partnership culture.</p>

<p>Join us for an exploratory online event looking at how systems thinking can guide learning technology research and practice amidst rapid change. Irina Niculescu is a senior learning technologist at University College London. She will lead an explorative session on applying systems thinking and facilitate conversations which aim to get beyond the hype and uncover deeper, more unified perspectives. In an increasingly complex digital education and learning tech landscape, systems thinking might allow us to stabilise the now and chart a clearer path forward. At the same time, it might generate new sets of questions and create an uncomfortable liminal state. Attendees will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and review ongoing educational challenges and initiatives through a systems lens. Don't miss this chance to step back and gain a new perspective!</p>

<p>This session will focus on the structure of digital education teams and how individuals can develop their careers in this field. In the first half, we will explore how digital education teams are structured, in terms of types of roles, remit and locations within an institution. This is intended to be an interactive session, so participants will take part in a poll about roles/remits and be divided into small groups and share their organisational structure. In the second half, we will explore how individuals can develop their expertise/experience through qualifications and sector engagement and consider career pathways for different digital education roles.</p>
