ALT Annual General Meeting 2023

Our 2023 Annual General Meeting will be held in person and online at ALT Annual Conference, 6 September 2023, Warwick, UK. All Members are encouraged to attend and the AGM is also open to guests and observers. The Calling Notice for the AGM will be issued shortly, and in accordance with the ALT Constitution adopted in 2019, the business of the Annual General Meeting will include: the election of Trustees; approval of accounts and report and decisions on any resolutions. 

New publication: Leading Virtual Teams

We are delighted to announce the publication of Leading Virtual Teams - Field Notes from a CEO by Dr Maren Deepwell. This is the first new occassional publication we have published in a while and it marks an important milestone for our Association, having completed our successful strategic transition to becoming a virtual organisation in 2018.

Enhancing our governance

The Board of Trustees has completed a year long review of our governance arrangements in order to ensure that our practice reflects the Charity Governance Code, which was updated at the end of 2020. The Board started planning for the review in February 2021 and the initial operational review was completed by the staff team in the subsequent six months.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in ALT

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) are at the very heart of the values of the Association for Learning Technology (ALT) which inform all aspects of our activities and services. We aim to be open, transparent, inclusive, democratic, fair and free from discrimination in order to best meet the needs of all our members, ALT staff and the wider community.

2022 Annual General Meeting and Trustee elections

Our 2022 Annual General Meeting, will be held in person and online at ALT Annual Conference, 7 September 2022, Manchester UK. All Members are encouraged to attend and the AGM is also open to guests and observers.

In accordance with the ALT Constitution adopted in 2019, the business of the Annual General Meeting will include:

  • the election of Trustees;
  • approval of accounts and report;
  • decisions on any resolutions.

Speaking at this year's Annual General Meeting, Chair of ALT Professor Helen O'Sullivan said:

It has been a time of great upheaval for everyone involved in further and higher education but in most institutions, learning technologists have played a fundamental role in managing this upheaval and ensuring that students could continue to learn regardless of social distancing and lockdowns.
