The State of Data 2020 | Defend Digital Me

A new report mapping a child’s digital footprint in the state education landscape in England has just been published. The report, maps children’s digital footprint across the education landscape age 0-19 including the transition year into Higher Education. It argues that core national education infrastructure delivered by the private sector must be put on the national risk register as its fragility has been demonstrated in the COVID-19 crisis and rush to remote learning.

We have now published ALT's written response submitted by Dr Maren Deepwell, chief executive, on behalf of the Association for Learning Technology, registered charity number 1160039. 

Our response is focused on the case studies and input provided by ALT Members. Many of ALT’s Member Institutions have also submitted individual responses.

ALT is preparing a response to the Digital teaching and learning during the coronavirus pandemic: Call for evidence. This call for evidence is seeking a wide breadth of sector input and experience to understand the challenges faced, and lessons learned from remote teaching and learning delivery since the start of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in March 2020.

The call for evidence runs from 3 September 2020 to 14 October 2020.

The ALT Annual Conference 2019 will take place at the University of Edinburgh, 3 - 5 September 2019. This year sees the Conference hosted in the historic McEwan Hall and Appleton Tower, both in the heart of the city. 

This is the largest event that we as a Membership body organise each year. It brings together both new and familiar faces, participants from all parts of the UK and internationally to share practice, research and policy in Learning Technology.
