This is the first new occassional publication we have published in a while and it marks an important milestone for our Association, having completed our successful strategic transition to becoming a virtual organisation in 2018.

The Open Access journal of the Association for Learning Technology
Research in Learning Technology (RLT) is a peer-reviewed, Open Access journal published by the Association for Learning Technology.
OER18: Open to All turns the focus on one of the often-cited benefits of ‘open’ – the promise of inclusivity. How do the resources, methods and projects that make up Open Education support making education available to all? As a movement over 15 years old, has Open Education made an impact – on learners, on society and on education? What can we do to to support learning in the open – and how can we use open to support learning?
Since ALT's Open Access journal, Research in Learning Technology, has re-opened for submissions in July, eight original articles have been published and dozens of submissions received. We are now looking to approaching a steady state for the operation of the journal in partnership with Open Academia on the journal's new home.
In light of the significant difficulties encountered after the current publisher Co-Action transitioned to Taylor & Francis, the Trustees of ALT have taken the difficult decision to suspend operation of the journal and seek a new publisher. We aim to review options and come to a decision before the end of April.
Research in Learning Technology is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal devoted to research and good practice in the use of learning technologies.
