We are continuing to plan for the conference both in person and online. We are reviewing the situation weekly and we expect to continue this approach until May at which time we will review further.

The Call for Proposals for ALT’s Annual Conference 2020 is due to close Thursday 2nd April 2020.

Call for Proposals open until 02 April 2020

The Learning Technologist of the Year Awards are still open for entries, with the closing date in just one week, on 30 April 2020. The Awards celebrate and reward excellent research and practice and outstanding achievement in Learning Technology. Established in 2007, the Awards have established a benchmark for outstanding achievement in Learning Technology on a national scale and attract competitive entries from the UK and internationally.

The ALT Annual Conference 2020 Call for Proposals has been extended.  The new deadline is Thursday 2 April 2020. 

We are delighted to announce that we have now finalised our judging panel for the 2020 Learning Technologist of the Year Awards. 

Entries for individuals, teams and research projects are open until 25 March.

Founded in 2013 by the Open Education Consortium, the goal of Open Education Week is to raise awareness and showcase the impact of open education on teaching and learning worldwide.

The AoC, Jisc and the Department for Education are currently exploring the potential for Educational Technology (EdTech) to improve the learning offer for students and professional practice for teachers, and the extent to which greater and more effective adoption might drive better outcomes for colleges.

  We are taking action to support ALT Members who are taking part in forthcoming strike action in the UK [University and College Union (UCU) announcement of strike action on pensions and on pay and working conditions, Thursday 20 February - Friday 12 March].

Last week we launched a competition for the artwork for this year’s conference. Along with the launch of this website and the Call for Proposals it is starting to feel real now! Later this month the volunteer conference committee will also meet for the first time.
