The Association for Learning Technology (ALT) is delighted to welcome three new Trustees to the Board: Michael Day as Vice Chair, alongside Joe Wilson and Owain Roberts, who join the Board as Trustees. Their appointment comes as ALT enters an important new chapter, with work underway to finalise a new strategy that will guide the Association through to 2030.
Three years ago this week, we closed the door on our last physical office space and moved to becoming a distributed team.

Martin Hawksey started working with ALT over eight years ago on ALT’s first and highly successful open course, ocTEL. As our Chief Innovation, Technology and Community Officer (a job title which served as his opening joke for many presentations), Martin has worked tirelessly to make ALT’s vision become a reality ever since.
We are looking to recruit an Operations Manager to join our staff team.
The role is flexibly 3-5 days a week and home-based and does require some travel for monthly team meetings and participation in events. You will be part of a small, distributed team working mostly online.
ALT is governed by a board of elected and coopted trustees, who form the Board of Trustees. Much of the work of ALT is done on a pro-bono basis by the active members of ALT's Assembly. Supporting the work of our Members is a small and busy, distributed staff team.
