Staff
Here are brief biographies of the people who work for ALT, with short
descriptions of their roles.
Emma Carr-Jones - Finance
Manager. Reporting to the Chief Executive, Emma's role is to provide
day-to-day financial management of ALT's core operations and its external
projects. She also advises the staff team on financial and management accounts,
budgets, and procedures within ALT.
Naomi Courtenay - Administration Officer (Membership and
Events). Reporting to the Head of Operations and Events, Naomi supports the smooth running of the
central office primarily in the areas of events administration and membership
services.
Maren Deepwell - Membership
Services Manager. Reporting to the Chief Executive, Maren's role is to
provide a full range of membership services in ALT and develop these in line with
membership needs.
Melanie Fox - Administration
Officer (Publications). Reporting to the Head of Operations and Events,
Melanie's role is to support the smooth running of the central office within ALT,
focused particularly on publications, and assist with the administration of ALT's
annual international conference.
Hayley Maisey - Head of
Operations and Events. Reporting to the Chief Executive, Hayley is
responsible for managing ALT’s day to day operations, coordinating the work
of the whole Oxford-based ALT staff team and for the operational planning,
management, and delivery of ALT’s conferences and events, including
ALT’s annual international conference ALT-C.
Louise Ryan - Publications
Manager (Web and print). Reporting to the Chief Executive, Louise
coordinates the editing and production of ALT's print and web-based output.
Lucy Saxton - Website
Development Manager. Reporting to the Chief Executive, Lucy is currently
project managing the development of ALT's website and the services it will offer
to members in the future.
Seb Schmoller - Chief Executive. Reporting to the Chair of ALT's
Central Executive Committee, Seb leads the ALT staff team. His work concentrates
on providing leadership and guidance to ALT, in particular on policy development
and strategy, links with partner organisations, income generation, representation
and negotiation, and professionalisation.
Professor John Slater -
Acting Director of Development. Reporting to the Chief Executive, John
leads ALT's effort to develop learning technology as a discipline, with a
particular focus on the annual international ALT conference, learning technology
projects, policy and research.
