Beyond the ALTC25 Programme

Beyond the programme

ALTC is more than just keynotes and sessions - it’s a vibrant, immersive experience that brings the ALT community together in exciting and unexpected ways. From creative showcases and group-led conversations to social gatherings and spontaneous moments of connection, this is where the conference truly comes to life. This year’s ALT Annual Conference will take place on Thursday, 23 and Friday, 24 October at the Glasgow Marriott Hotel. The theme, Stronger Foundations, Broader Horizons, reflects ALT’s commitment to supporting the learning technology community in a time of complexity, uncertainty and rapid digital change.

Explore everything happening beyond the programme at ALTC25, including Group Fest, ALTC Radio, and a host of social activities designed to spark inspiration, build relationships, and celebrate the spirit of collaboration. Whether you’re a first-time attendee or a seasoned ALT veteran, there’s a whole world waiting for you outside the formal agenda.

Make the most out of your ALCT25 Conference experience

Discover ALT’s Member and Special Interest Groups at Group Fest

Group Fest is your chance to connect with ALT’s vibrant network of Member and Special Interest Groups throughout ALTC25. Visit the ALT Groups stand to meet group representatives, explore current projects and initiatives, and find out how you can get involved. Whether you’re looking to join an existing group or simply want to learn more about the diverse work happening across the community, this is the perfect opportunity to dive in.

A timetable of group activities will be shared closer to the time.

Tune in to ALTC Radio for Group-led Conversations

As part of Group Fest, we’re handing the mic to our groups with dedicated ALTC Radio programmes. Throughout the conference, groups will be taking to the airwaves to share insights, host discussions, and showcase their latest work. Make sure to tune in live or catch up later to hear a wide range of voices and topics from across ALT’s thriving network.

ALTC Radio is hosted by The Thursday Night Show (TTNS), an eclectic Internet radio platform with a cast of DJs from around the world. Every Thursday night since 2012, TTNS broadcasts live to your browser, wherever you are. We are excited to have them join us again this year.
