ALT Launched new Online Programmes SIG

ALT Launched new Online Programmes SIG

We’re delighted to announce the launch of the Online Programmes Special Interest Group (SIG).

This SIG offers a collaborative space for ALT members involved in the design, delivery, and management of online learning programmes. Our aim is to support ALT’s mission to advance education through digital technology by fostering dialogue, sharing effective practice, and promoting innovation in online education.

The Online Programmes SIG exists to:

  • Build a community of practice for ALT members with a shared interest in online programmes;
  • Explore and disseminate effective practices in online pedagogy, curriculum design, and learner engagement;
  • Identify and respond to sector-wide challenges and opportunities in online education;
  • Contribute to ALT’s strategic priorities through thought leadership and collaboration;
  • Support professional development and capacity building among members.

We proudly uphold ALT’s values of being participative, open, collaborative, innovative, inclusive, and transparent.

It's an exciting time in the world of online programmes, with more and more institutions entering the market and a world of partners to work with. It seems a great opportunity to give people a space to discuss, share and grow this field, and I'm honoured to have the privilege of bringing this all together and seeing what we can do to share some common learnings and experiences.  - Russ Brookes

Interested in helping shape the group’s activities? We are actively seeking additional officers, so please do contact us if you wish to express an interest in becoming an officer.
