In addition to working in partnership with a broad range of organisations, we also work closely with our member organisations [2]. If you are interested in working with the Association, please contact us [3].
We have formal Memoranda of Understanding with:
- ASCILITE, [4] the Australian Society for Computers in Learning in Tertiary Education (a sister membership organisation in Australasia);
- AoC, [5] the Association of Colleges;
- EUROCALL [6], the European Association of Computer Assisted Language Learning
- ILTA [7], Irish Learning Technology Association;
- L&W [8], the Learning and Work Institute.
- NAACE [9], The Education Technology Association
We have a partnership with:
- Jisc [10]. In 2008 JISC and ALT put in place a Memorandum of Understanding on which a productive relationship between the two organisations was built. In December 2012 Jisc changed its legal status and became a registered charity. In March 2014 we updated our partnership statement to ensure that Jisc and ALT continue to work together and to show that both organisations share a common commitment to harness technology to advance learning and improve access to it. Areas for collaboration include policy and leadership, innovation and projects.
We work closely with:
- several of our member organisations, including government departments and agencies;
- the Universities and Colleges Information Systems Association (UCISA) [11];
- the [12]Society of College, National and University Libraries (SCONUL) [12];
- Efficiency Exchange [13] : ALT is a content partner with Effficiency Exchange, which publishes regular blogs from HE professionals sharing their insights and approaches.
We have membership exchanges with:
- the eLearning Alliance [14] in Scotland;
- the [15]eLearning Network [15], with whom we work closely on acitivities like our series of jointly organised lunchtime webinars.
ALT is a Member of the National Council of Voluntary Organisations [16] (UK charity 225922).
