Partnerships [1]

In addition to working in partnership with a broad range of organisations, we also work closely with our member organisations [2]. If you are interested in working with the Association, please contact us [3].

We have formal Memoranda of Understanding with:

  • ASCILITE, [4] the Australian Society for Computers in Learning in Tertiary Education (a sister membership organisation in Australasia);
  • AoC, [5] the Association of Colleges;
  • EUROCALL [6], the European Association of Computer Assisted Language Learning
  • ILTA [7], Irish Learning Technology Association;
  • L&W [8], the Learning and Work Institute.
  • NAACE [9],  The Education Technology Association

We have a partnership with:

  • Jisc [10]. In 2008 JISC and ALT put in place a Memorandum of Understanding on which a productive relationship between the two organisations was built. In December 2012 Jisc changed its legal status and became a registered charity. In March 2014 we updated our partnership statement to ensure that Jisc and ALT continue to work together and to show that both organisations share a common commitment to harness technology to advance learning and improve access to it. Areas for collaboration include policy and leadership, innovation and projects.

We work closely with:

  • several of our member organisations, including government departments and agencies;
  • the Universities and Colleges Information Systems Association (UCISA) [11];
  • the [12]Society of College, National and University Libraries (SCONUL) [12];
  • Efficiency Exchange [13] : ALT is a content partner with Effficiency Exchange, which publishes regular blogs from HE professionals sharing their insights and approaches.

We have membership exchanges with:

  • the eLearning Alliance [14] in Scotland;
  • the [15]eLearning Network [15], with whom we work closely on acitivities like our series of jointly organised lunchtime webinars.
