Get involved

You can get involved in the  SIG directly via the Ning site (http://vital-sig.ning.com) which will be the platform for discussion, and sharing ideas and thought about the various issues surrounding the use of video within education, such as pedagogical/ technical/ legal and accessibility.
The SIG also has wiki (http://alt-vie-sig.wikispaces.com/) which will be used to publish articles which have come out of discussion.
We have already hosted a number of webinars during Feb - April 2011, and plan to continue this series throughout summer 2011. Links to the recordings of these sessions can be found on the Ning site. We have a presence at DiVERSE 2011 (Dublin) and are co-hosting a competition for student video submissions. Details of the competition can be found @ http://www.youtube.com/user/DiverseIreland2011?feature=mhum#p/u/0/on7g-2GBZvo .
ViTAL invites you to join the Ning site and contribute to the current discussion topics and/or create your own topics concerning the use of 'Video in Education'.
This winter we will be looking to update the Click and Go video article http://www.scribd.com/doc/24123319/Video-Streaming-a-guide-for-educational-development (also posted on the wiki) in light of these discussions, so would really value your ideas and sharing of your experiences with the community.
We value your expertise and experience and look forward to you helping us bring together and analyse the main issues, which will be published for free and made available to all in mid 2011
