Inclusive Learning SIG
The ALT Inclusive Learning SIG (ILSIG) was established in March 2011.
The remit of this SIG is to:
- Discover and share evidence and experiential practice in the area of inclusive learning;
- Highlight day-to-day experience of those using assistive technologies for the benefit of the practitioners who use or develop solutions;
- Provide a forum for discussion and collaboration of the use of appropriate technologies and practices to support the development of inclusive solutions in the ALT community.
Steering Committee Officers
Chair – Terry McAndrew
Secretary – Shirley Evans
The SIG had an official launch at ALT-C 2011 where membership was opened up to the wider community. The Group now has 52 members and we communicate via a JISC Mail list and quarterly webinars. We are particularly interested at the moment in harvesting Web 2.0 conversations about inclusive learning practice. Members can currently take advantage of the JISC TechDis CMALT scheme.
