Support for candidates
Here you can find information on the accreditation process including how to build a portfolio, what support is available for candidates, how to submit your portfolio and assessment.
When you start CMALT we suggest you:
- Download the CMALT Prospectus - this is your ultimate guide for CMALT [PDF 131kb]
- Join the CMALT Community on Crowdvine - a social network which allows you to network with other candidates and those who have already completed CMALT.
- Read through the Information for CMALT candidates document [24 kB PDF - April 2010] - this provides initial guidance for getting started with building a CMALT Portfolio.
- Attend a free CMALT webinar for candidates - These sessions are designed to provide information and support to candidates looking to complete their portfolios in the next few months. They provide an overview of the submission process, advice on how to complete a portfolio and an opportunity to see how the assessment process works. There is also time for individual questions at the end of each session.
As you are collating your portfollio:
- Read and follow the Guidelines for CMALT candidates and assessors [94 kB PDF - Nov 2011], which gives detailed guidelines on requirements for the CMALT portfolio and the assessment process.
- Read through the FAQs if you have any queries.
- If you have any questions that aren't answered in the FAQs, contact one of the CMALT Development Group.
When you're ready to submit your portfolio:
- Portfolio submission form (you can either complete this form or use it as a basis for your portfolio)
- Complete the Portfolio Submission Form and send it to cmalt@alt.ac.uk
- Details of the assessment process can be found in the Guidelines for Candidates and Assessors document [94 kB PDF - Nov 2011]
Support for assessors
All CMALT Holders (Certified Members of ALT) are encouraged to act as assessors.
- Attend a free CMALT webinar for assessors. These sessions are designed to provide information and support to assessors looking to start assessing CMALT portfolios or to develop their knowledge of how to assess CMALT portfolios. It provides an overview of the submission process, advice on how to assess a portfolio and an opportunity to see how the assessment process works.There is also time for individual questions at the end of each session. Webinars are presented by members of the CMALT Development Group. Book your place on the next webinar.
