Learning Technologist of the Year Award new categories for 2022 announced! [1]
The ALT Learning Technologist of the Year Awards celebrate and reward excellent research and practice and outstanding achievement in Learning Technology. This year’s Awards Ceremony will take place on 6 September, as part of the ALT Annual Conference 2022, held in Manchester. Entries will open in early June.
With the awards now in their 15th year, we are excited to share with you that this year we have created new categories to better reflect our Learning Technology community:
ALT Award for Individuals
This Award celebrates outstanding achievements of individuals in a research, technical, supportive, design, developer, administrative, academic or hybrid role.
ALT Award for Institutions and Teams
This Award is for teams and institutions and recognises outstanding strategic enhancement of teaching, learning, and assessment with digital technology.
ALT Award for Leadership in Digital Education
This Award celebrates individuals in a leadership position within their institution or in their sector who influence strategy, policy and culture change.
ALT Award for Digital Transformation in partnership with Jisc
This Award in partnership with Jisc recognises achievement in digital transformation. ‘Transformation’ being a progressive systemic change in practices, processes, services and partnerships which improves the working lives of staff, has a positive impact on the student experience (including teaching, learning and assessment) and can be demonstrated to be sustainable in the broadest sense
ALT Award for Case Studies of Ethical EdTech
This Award celebrates outstanding case studies demonstrating the ethical use of Learning Technology. We will be looking for case studies of using for example lecture capture, online assessment and blended learning and more broadly using digital technology for learning, teaching and assessment that address or have implications for ethical considerations.
