In partnership with ASCILITE, the Australasian Society for Computers in Learning in Tertiary Education, the Association for Learning Technology (ALT) is offering CMALT Australasia.
CMALT Australasia is a professional accreditation scheme which enables people whose work involves Learning Technology to:
have their experience and capabilities certified by peers
demonstrate that they are taking a committed approach to their professional development.
The basis of the accreditation process is a portfolio which contains both evidence and reflection in relation to a number of key criteria. CMALT Australasia allows you to gain recognition for personal and professional development, while encouraging you to reflect on the broader context which is shaped by social, cultural and political factors.

Anyone based in Australasia is able to register for CMALT Australasia, regardless of which educational or commercial sector you're from. All candidates and CMALT holders are required to be in good standing as members of ASCILITE, but are not required to be members of ALT in order to apply. Apply for CMALT Australia here.
Upon becoming certifed, ASCILITE CMALT Holders in good standing will hold joint Certified status with ALT. Members are expected to complete the annual renewal process and submit a 3 yearly portfolio review, however as long as relevant holders are in good standing and hold current paid membership with ASCILITE they will be exempt from the usual ALT Certified Holders annual renewal fee.
You should refer to the support page for CMALT for general information and support. The ASCILITE website’s CMALT Australasia page has information about how ASCILITE is supporting its CMALT Australasia candidates. CMALT candidates also have full access to the support of the ALT CMALT resources and community of practice.
