Exeter is well served by public transport. The University is just one mile from Exeter city centre. Comprehensive public transport information is available from Traveline.
Rail and bus
The University of Exeter Streatham Campus is ten minutes' walk uphill from Exeter St David's Rail Station (or five minutes by taxi). Regular rail services run from London Paddington and Bristol, as well as direct cross-country services from the north of England. For train information call 08457 484950.
The coach station is in the city centre. Call 01392 427711 for information.
International delegates can fly to Bristol International Airport, one hour from Exeter. Trains run every hour to Exeter from the airport.
An increasing range of economical flights are available directly to Exeter International Airport, for example from Belfast, Dublin, Edinburgh, and Glasgow. Exeter Airport is 10 miles from the Streatham Campus. For flight information call 01392 367433.
Exeter is served by the M5 motorway. Take the exit at junction 30 and follow the signs for Exeter City Centre, then follow the AA signs to ALT-C 2004 and the University of Exeter.
For those staying in University Halls there is free car parking near the accommodation. A parking permit must be obtained on arrival at ALT-C 2004, which should be displayed on your vehicle windscreen at all times.
For non-resident delegates Pay and Display parking is available at Streatham Campus at a charge of UKP 1.50 per day. Ticket machines are available at both entrances to the University and also by the Great Hall.
