When does altc2013 start/finish?
altc2013 will run from the morning of Tuesday 10th to the afternoon of Thursday 12th September 2013. Accommodation can be booked from Monday night and for the duration of the conference. The programme for this year's conference can be found here but is subject to change.

Where is altc taking place in 2013?
This year we will be hosted by the University of Nottingham. Travel information can be found at the bottom of the page.

How much does altc2013 cost?
Prices can be found on the registration form.

When will registration close?
Registration will close on Wednesday the 28th of August.

When will I receive joining instructions?
Joining instructions will be sent to all delegates approximately two weeks before the conference.

What is the booking process for sponsors and exhibitors?
There are no more places for exhibitors. Interested sponsors should view the prospectus for sponsors and exhibitors or contact Caroline Greves for more information.

How can I submit a proposal for altc2013?
Submissions have now closed.

How many delegates will there be at altc2013?
We expect that there will be around 400 delegates.

What are the timings of the conference?
The conference programme is available here. Please note that this is subject to change.

I only want to book for one/two day(s) and want to know when someone is speaking.
Please note that sometimes speakers, even keynotes, have to change times as a result of other circumstances and so we cannot guarantee that you will get to hear a specific speaker - the only way to be sure is to attend the entire conference.

I cannot come to the conference but understand that I can participate in some sessions remotely and even ask questions through Twitter?

Information concerning transport and accommodation

Accommodation
You will be able to book accommodation in the student halls or conference centre hotel. Bookings and payment for accommodation will not go through ALT and must be made separately.

Where is the nearest train station?
The East Midlands Conference Centre is located in the University Park Campus (NG7 2RJ) of the University of Nottingham. The nearest railway station is in Beeston (NG9 1JU) which is 1 mile away. Alternatively, Nottingham Train Station is just 2.2 miles away. There is a direct train line between London St Pancras and Nottingham which takes roughly 1 hour and 50 minutes.

Where is the nearest airport?
The closest airport is East Midlands Airport, located 17 miles from the EMCC. Birmingham Airport serves a wider range of destinations and is around one hour's drive from the EMCC.

Is there parking at the conference venue?
Delegates will be able to park in the East Midlands Conference Centre car park free of charge. If this car park is full delegates will be directed to an alternative car park and issued with a permit. Please make sure that you follow these instructions as parking elsewhere on campus requires a permit or pay and display.
