PACT

The ALT Politics and Critical Theory SIG (PACT) was established in January 2011.

The group is interested in making policy and critical theory more central to practice and development in learning technology.

Remit

To provide a focal point for all those interested in the politics of learning technology, from a theoretical or practical perspective. It will provide information about events; networking opportunities (e.g. through a dedicated social network); and access to resources (e.g. through annotated bibliographies, links to policies or research, and so on). It will not act as a collective on behalf of its members since it is a group rather than a union or a lobbying body; similarly, it will not fund the activities of members; however, it will provide the facilities for members to organise collective activities and actions in an open and transparent way

Officers

The SIG officers are Richard Hall and Martin Oliver (Institute of Education).
