On campus accommodation

Accommodation is not included in the fees but is available at an extra cost. Single rooms with an ensuite shower and toilet can be booked through the East Midlands Conference Centre (EMCC) directly at a cost of £37.05 GBP + VAT per night on a bed and breakfast basis. Tea and Coffee facilities are available within the bedrooms along with a towel and toiletries. The rate also includes a broadband internet connection in the room and use of the leisure facilities on campus. Please contact the EMCC Sales Office directly on weekdays between the hours of 0845 and 1700: +44 (0)115 846 8000, quoting "ALT". Payment would be taken by credit/debit card over the phone; EMCC will send you a confirmation email followed by a confirmation letter with card receipt plus a map of the campus. On campus accommodation can be booked until Friday, 13 August 2010.

Off campus accommodation

A varied selection of hotel accommodation can be booked through the East Midlands Conference Centre at preferential rates. We strongly recommend that this type of accommodation is booked after your place at the conference has been confirmed. Please call the Hotel Reservation Service on weekdays between the hours of 0845 and 1700, +44 (0)115 951 3640 or email beverly.cunningham@nottingham.ac.uk. All rooms reserved through the HRS have cancellation conditions of up to 12 noon on the day of arrival without charge.

What is the cancellation policy for accommodation on campus?

In the event of cancellation no charge will be levied if you cancel up to 48 hours before the date of arrival. After 48 hours you will be charged 80% of the total booking fee.

When can I get into my room?

Delegates can check into their accommodation from 1500 onwards. Delegates must check out by 1000 on the day of departure.

Where do I collect my keys from?

Is there luggage store near to my accommodation?

Luggage may be left temporarily in a number of areas:

• the ALT conference cloakroom in the East Midlands Conference Centre;
• the luggage stores located at your halls.

What facilities are available within the accommodation?

Single en-suite bedroom - a modern study bedroom complete with an en-suite shower and toilet. Tea and coffee facilities are available within the bedroom along with a towel and toiletries. Irons and ironing boards are also available from reception. Delegates can also use the leisure facilities on campus, times and full details are available at the halls.

Is there disabled accommodation?

A number of specially -adapted rooms are available, all en-suite, which are wheelchair-accessible and should be appropriate for most major physical disabilities. Please contact the East Midlands Conference Centre should you require further information or to reserve one of these rooms.

Where is breakfast served?

Breakfast will be served each morning in the Dining Room of the hall in which you are staying. There is a choice of continental or full cooked english breakfast.
