If you are unsure whether the organisation you work for is a member or not, please refer to our members' list. If your organisation isn't a member, you can avail of the members' rate by becoming an individual member - more information.

Breakdown of the costs

The full conference and single day attendance fees to attend covered all sessions, meals and refreshments throughout the day. ALT also covered the cost to attend the Monday and Tuesday social events, but only for those who told us that they want to attend these.

Wednesday Gala Dinner Event

If you wanted to attend the Wednesday gala dinner event, at which the winners of the 2009 Learning Technologist of the Year Award and the 2009 Learning Object Competition were announced, there was an additional cost per head (£50 per person). This covered a pre dinner drinks reception, four-course meal with wine and after dinner entertainment.

Conference packs and conference handbooks

All delegates who select this option when booking, were posted a copy of the Conference Handbook and Research Proceedings ALT-C 2009, two weeks prior to the start of the conference. This then allowed enough time for you to plan which sessions you would like to attend. Both documents were sent to the address provided at the time of booking. We will also provided delegates on arrival with both documents on a USB stick along with a conference programme, a delegate list, a guide to conference facilities and the exhibition, and local information on Manchester. If you don't select the options, you have received copies of both handbooks at time of registration.
We also sent, to the email address you provided, 'news alerts' to keep you informed. From mid-June 2009 onwards, we make regular updates to this page as well which you can monitor as indictaed at the start of the page.

Closing date for bookings

The booking deadline was Friday 14 August.

Cancellation and substitution policy

Cancellations made in writing on or before Friday, 7 August 2009 were eligible for a full refund minus a £50 cancellation charge. Cancellations made after Friday, 7 August 2009 did not receive a refund. Substitutions were allowable if made in writing (either by email events@alt.ac.uk or by faxing your request to +44 (0) 1865 484165) before Friday, 21 August 2009.
