Conference timetable

The conference timetable will have links to all abstracts and can be viewed by theme as well as by time (available from June 2007).

Themes

The conference welcomes research papers for publication in the peer-reviewed Proceedings of ALT-C 2007, as well as short papers, symposia, workshops, demonstrations and posters.

ALT-C 2007 will feature four areas, capturing the main strands of development current in the field.

• Learning and internationalism: Learning across cultures, learning technology for a multicultural society;
• Learning Technology for the social network generation: Learning with blogs, wikis and multiplayer games, new cultures of learning, intergrating formal and informal learning;
• Designing learning spaces: mobile, pervasive and embedded technologies for learning, technology-enhanced learning spaces;
• Large-scale implementation: distance learning, networked learning, policy and infrastructure for technology-enhanced learning.

Each submission must address at least two of the following:

• Theory of learning and technology;
• Innovative practice;
• Evaluation.

The conference is for established practitioners and researchers from all sectors involved in learning technology, as well as those new to the field. We are particularly keen to encourage participation form Further Education and Adult and Community Learning.
