Information for Delegates

This page is frequently updated. Please refer back to it immediately prior to booking, and during the two weeks before to the conference itself.

Note. The deadline for bookings was mid-night GMT on 21 August 2004. We are no longer taking bookings for ALT-C 2004, and the material below is retained for the information of delegates, and for archive purposes. Prices

The table below shows the prices for full-conference and single-day attendance. Prices cover attendance, including all sessions, refreshments, lunches, and the whole social programme (including the conference dinner), with the exception of overnight accommodation.

Non-members paying the full-conference registration fee are entitled to 1 year's free membership of ALT, about which ALT will contact you once your registration is confirmed.

Note 1. If you or your institution is a member of Ascilite or SURF, you are entitled to the "Members of ALT" rate.

Note 2. Single-day attendees for Wednesday 15 September are entitled to attend the Conference Dinner at no extra cost.

Closing date for bookings

The closing date for bookings is Saturday 21 August 2004. However, to be sure of a place at ALT-C 2004, please book earlier than this!

Cancellation and substitution policy

Cancellations made on or before 21 August 2004 will be subject to a £50 cancellation charge. Cancellations made after 21 August 2004 will not receive a refund. Substitutions are allowable if made in writing before 21 August 2004.

Online registration

From the last week of May 2004 you will be able to register online for ALT-C 2004. If you need to register before this date, or if you are booking as part of a group, please email the ALT office, or telephone us.

Conference packs

All delegates will receive on arrival a copy of the Proceedings of ALT-C 2004, a conference programme, a delegate list, the conference abstracts, and a guide to conference facilities, the exhibition, and local information.

We will also send information by email to delegates in advance of the conference, and, from Friday 27 August 2004, update this page with conference specific information for delegates.
